A recent Internet security report says that the Philippines was the sixth “most attacked” country among 20 countries studied. The 2006 Philippine Internet security statistics was managed through the joint initiative of the Leurre.com and the Philippine Honeynet Project.
The project involves 20 partner nations and over 60 organizations that contributes infrastructure and resources to monitor Internet attacks globally.
Lead analyst, Mark Ryan Talabis, said the Philippine Honeynet Project through Ateneo de Naga University supported the Leurre.com initiative in the country.
Results showed that most of the attacks directed at the country were mainly “local attacks,” meaning they came from within the Philippines.
Other attacks were shown to have come from China, Malaysia, Japan, Korea and the United States with most of them happening from 3 p.m. until midnight.
“Attacks were lowest between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.,” the report noted.
“This could indicate higher botnet, malware or worm activity from Windows machines probably because of its larger deployment around the world,” Talabis remarked.

| A number of factors need to be considered when optimising a web site for the organic results of the search engines. The cumulative effect of optimising all parts of a website is greater than the sum of its parts optimised individually. Each factor overlaps with, or is related to, at least one other, and for maximum results the big picture needs to be captured by a search engine optimisation strategy. This article outlines the elements an effective SEO strategy should cover. Content Search engines like to see that a web site is serving current and valuable information. Frequently changing content and the addition of new pages will keep both search engines and users interested and can improve rankings. Titles tags Inbound links & PageRank Indexation HTML/XHTML & CSS Meta tags For the purpose of ranking, meta tags can actually be omitted altogether. However the description may be used as the snippet in the search engine results pages, so there is an opportunity to increase click through rate. Keyword choices Internal link structure Spam |

Bridge to Sentosa IslandI had a wonderful vacation in singapore…. here are the few memorable destinations in Singapore
Sky Tower in Sentosa Island
The Sky Tower is Singapore’s tallest public viewing tower which offers panoramic views across Singapore, Sentosa and the Southern Islands. The Carlsberg Sky Tower has a capacity of 72 person in its enclosed, air-conditioned cabin. It is Asia’s tallest observatory tower at 135m above sea level. Each revolving ride, takes about seven minutes. Day or night, views from the tower promise to be both scenic and breathtaking.
Underwater World @ Sentosa
Underwater World Venture into the ocean’s depth via a moving travellator thatferries you through an 83-metre long acryllic tunnel while all around you, sharks, stingrays, eels and schools of fish glide past. The Night Ocean Discovery programme begins at 7pm daily and is your chance to view a totally different world where nocturnal sea creatures come to life as night falls.
