Im an ardent blogger myself, although I just started late last year, I never stopped exploring new things to improve and optimize my blog. In this world, blogging is useless if you don’t have readers. Visitors to your blog are not just your regular readers, relatives or fellow bloggers, Search Engines may visit and crawl your blog anytime to check if your blog is Hot or
Search engine optimization (SEO) techniques for blogs are technically the same as for any other Web site, such as keyword optimization of titles, categories, and URLs and of course content relevance. Internal Linking also helps you rank and crawled so make sure to have a sitemap and archives in your Blog. Some SEO guru’s also suggested that bloggers should put keywords in anchor text, creating lists of popular or recent posts, and using links on article titles.
I have discovered some plugins that can help your Blog Search Engine Optimized.
SEO Title Tag 2.0 beta7 – Title tags are arguably the most important of the on-page factors for search engine optimization (â€SEOâ€). It blows my mind how post titles are also used as title tags by WordPress, considering that post titles should be catchy, pithy, and short-and-sweet; whereas title tags should incorporate synonyms and alternate phrases to capture additional search visibility.
Sitemap Generator Plugin for WordPress – This plugin creates a sitemap for your WordPress powered site. This is not just another XML sitemap plugin, but rather a true sitemap generator which is highly customizable from its own options page in the WordPress admin panel. Some of its features include: support for multi-level categories and pages, category/page exclusion, multiple-page generation with navigation, permalink support, choose what to display, what order to list items in, show comment counts and/or post dates, and much more.
Bunny’s Technorati Tags – Bunny’s Technorati Tags provides you with template function to easily display Technorati tags for your posts. The tags are stored in a Custom Field, so this plugin does not require any modifications of the database structure. The plugin adds a text input for that custom field in the appropriate admin pages.
I will be updating this page as soon I find new SEO related plugin so just stay tuned! :)
