feedburner now owned by GoogleAccording to Techcrunch.com, Feedburner is in the closing stages of being acquired by Google for around $100 million. The deal is all cash and mostly upfront, according to their source, although the founders will be locked in for a couple of years.

On a personal note, I guess its good for bloggers coz Google will have more ways of tracking blogs that was just created for ad spamming purposes. Congratulations to the FeedBurner team and great decision on Google’s part. On the business side, Google wins additional business since Feedburner is being used by large online media publications such as PC World, Computerworld, Macworld, Reuters, USA Today, AOL, The Nation, Newsweek and other wordwide publications.
