With the internet on the rise most people do not even consider offline networking anymore. The internet is much cheaper and easier to use, however as the article states offline networking is a much more personal way of doing business. You get your face out there and people learn who you are. I recommend you continue to do online networking but also go to events on occasion and network in person.
