Who wouldn’t want to venture into a $211 billion industry with a market of over 61 million consumers worldwide?  No one.

Statistics reveal that everyone has joined in the online shopping bandwagon—and the Philippines is not exempt from this. The past years has seen an upsurge of Filipino online retailers that range from individual entrepreneurs to company subsidiaries. Yet, despite the increasing popularity of online shopping in the Philippines, Rene Fuentes observes that there is still much to be desired in the local e-commerce scene.

“A seamless multi-channel experience – this is what primarily characterizes renowned online retail networks such as Amazon and E-bay. Yet, in the Philippines, complaints of unsecured transactions, delayed deliveries and unreasonable rates still abound.”

With this in mind, Rene Fuentes has embarked upon the task of bringing the Philippines at par with international standards of online retailing through eLBC Direct Inc.

“We believe that seamless online retail can only be achieved by being consumer-centric. At eLBC, customers are not seen as transactions, but as human beings with needs to be served at the soonest time. We believe in keeping the best relations possible with our valued customers by coming up with services and programs attuned to their needs,” asserts Rene Fuentes.

What is eLBC Direct Inc.?

Established in 2002, eLBC Direct, Inc. is an LBC company that was formed to provide Filipinos here and abroad access to products and services apart from the traditional products offered by LBC. Through the years this venture has evolved and prompted the company to pursue various opportunities in e-commerce specifically in the field of online shopping.

What is the value of online shopping?

Online shopping offers Filipino buyers convenience that has never before been achievable. The technology that is now available allows customers to shop on the internet 24 hours a day and seven days a week, without having to leave their homes or offices. Shoppers are provided with an abundance of merchant sites where almost any type of product can be bought. Consumers can also compare prices from a variety of different retailers with greater ease, compared to them physically going to shop in a built shopping centre to check prices.

What is the mission of eLBC Direct Inc.?

Alongside the ideal of bringing the Philippines at par with international standards of online retail, eLBC Direct’s mission is to provide Filipinos a convenient way to purchase and send gifts in/to the Philippines.

What is eLBC Direct’s current line-up of brands?

What are the mechanics of eLBC Direct’s sales and distribution?

eLBC Direct, Inc’s products and services are available through LBC Branches Worldwide, Call Centers and over the Internet.

What Differentiates eLBC Direct from all other local online retailers?

In the years to come, eLBC envisions to redefine the Filipino shopping and gift-giving experience through a seamless multi-channel experience anchored in a consumer-centric philosophy.

This is quite the project he is taking on but I think it has great potential in opening the world wide web more fully to the world. I am excited to track his progress

Funny there is a PayPal banner on this page because I was going to recommend something like PayPal as a means to rectify the unsecured transactions issue as they have no problem dipping into the bank accounts of scammers. On the other hand I wouldn’t pass up that market for fear of losing out on a couple sales that are illegitimate.

What we need in the Philippines is good online payment which would allow local merchants to receive payments for their products and services without having to go through 3rd parties.
