Why I want to work in Australia?

While the rest of my friends wants to go to the United States, Im the only one who really wants to visit and work in Australia. Why? I really dont know but Australia seems to be so ideal for me. Many travelers opt for a one year work visa in order to find the time and resources to see more of this vast country. It is so common for backpackers to work their way round Oz that job opportunities and recruitment are relatively easy to find compared to other countries.

To stay a little longer than a year or two require a bit more planning and some kind of employment commitment… or shit loads of cash…. so the best bet is to look at getting a 4 year sponsored Australian working visa. This allows you to stay in Australia for up to 4 years provided you stay with the same employer and of course a good employee.

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) in Manila accepts applications and makes decisions on most temporary and permanent migration visas. They have a website that contains information on the main visas and citizenship applied for from the Philippines.

For detailed information about Australian visas and citizenship services please see the DIAC website. See: www.immi.gov.au
Application forms for all types of visas can also be downloaded from the DIAC website. See: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/application-forms/index.htm

  • Working in Australia is just fun. It’s a great county, and I completely agree with your reasons of working there.

  • I grew up in Australia, and have worked a lot of jobs there. I now live in Canada, and while I love it here, I really do miss my ‘home’ I am thinking about doing a trip back there to do a working / traveling holiday. There are so many places to see, and Australians are good people, so most jobs are fun due to the nature of the people you meet and work with.

  • I messed up the URL in my previous post, DOH! Can the admin please remove it and leave this one.
