Did you know that David Cook’s first show after American Idol will be in Manila Philippines?
In a radio interview with ChumFM, the 2008 American Idol Season 7 winner spoke about the release of his album in November and his plans for next year.
“We just booked my first show, post-‘Idol,’ Jan. 27 in the Philippines … a one-off show and then we start the tour in the States …” said Cook.
The David Cook Manila Concert target date will be on January 27, 2009. No ticket details yet.
David Cook is very popular in the Philippines because of his own version of Mariah Carey’s cover “Always Be My Baby”. Also topping Manila Chart is his American Idol finale hit, “Time Of My Life.”

Nope, I didn’t know that! Kind of weird that he’s starting in the Philippines but cool that he has fans worldwide. I love David Cook. He got cuter as the show got on. He had me at “Hello!” :)
I am a Clay Aiken fan and he has a huge following in the Philippines. He has even traveled there for press but has been unable to perform there (due to label issues, etc). But he has some very vocal and sweet fans there, so the news about David Cook does not surprise me at all!

Oh my, oh my, this is definitely something to look forward too. I wonder how much the tickets are going to be?
he’s certainly proven himself to be a great performer (besides being competitive)… I’m thinking his new CD will definitely be worth getting

nice tip, thanks!
