Do you want to watch Third Eye Blind live in Manila? This multi-awarded American alternative rock band will invade Manila on September 5 to grace the kick off party of this years San Miguel Oktoberfest.
The venue of the Grand Party event will be in San Miguel Avenue Ortigas Center, four huge stage will be set up in San Miguel Avenue to showcase Philippine’s Top Bands with different genres and of course the world renowned Third Eye Blind. 2008 Oktoberfest aims to break two Guiness World Record: the most number of people toasting and the worlds longest bar.
There will be a total of 40 locals band which includes Rivermaya, The Dawn, Afterimage, Nyoy Volante, Paolo Santos, Jimmy Bondoc, Nina, Rico Blanco, Browman Revival, Itchyworms, Kamikazee, Parokya ni Edgar and SugarFree. I wish Eraserheads is part of them… It will be much more phenomenal if in case.
San Miguel will also release in the market the limited edition of San Miguel Oktoberfest Beer. I have tasted the beer and it really taste good. OktoberFest Beer is a pale lager with malty notes, balanced with floral and citrussy hops. The beer is made of One hundred percent malt, full flavored yet lite bodied and with a sweety taste.
The Oktoberfest 120 is supported by the Department of Tourism, Converse, Toshiba, Focus Media, Cricket Lighters, Bel Aldea and Maravilla.
Through the years, San Miguel Oktoberfest has been enjoying strong support from the Filipinos, that the Department of Tourism now recognizes the event as a local Fiesta.
Aside from the grand kick off party at the Ortigas Center, there will also simultaneous parties all over the Philippines: in Olongapo, Sta. Rosa, Lapu-lapu (Cebu) and Davao. San Miguel Oktoberfest 120 (siento bente) will span for 120 days, starting September 5, until December 2008. The kickoff party is open to the public.
For only Php120, you can watch Third Eye Blind, Rivermaya, The Dawn, After Image, Rico Blanco, Pinikpikan and 35 other Pinoy bands.

Oh man, after the Eraserheads show with its above-standard concert look i left the Oktoberfest and seeing 3EB feeling cheated. I don’t know why i felt that way, but people should start making their shows as good and as memorable as that now famous August 30 concert. Lights, stage and all.

Marben, i get you. The ERASERHEADS HANDS DOWN SHOWED MANILA CLASS AND QUALITY, THE OKTOBERFEST IS STILL STUCK TO THE USUAL MULTIPLE BAND, ROCK FEST WHERE ANYTHING GOES.
