I applied as a Nokia mobile phone Tester last month since I really want to review latest smart phones for this blog. It took almost a month before i receive a notification that I qualified to become a Nokia mobile phone tester.
Three days after receiving a notification, DHL contacted me yesterday to verify my address and to inform me about the customs charges etc.. that i need to pay for. Since I’m busy baking and cooking for my food blog, I told DHL to reschedule the delivery today. After receiving the trial unit, I immediately unbox it to checkout if the unit is working.
Why N82?
I specifically requested Nokia N82 because i think this is one of the hottest camera phones in the market. I’m also impressed on its built in camera’s fantastic output, no wonder Nokia N82 won 2008 TIPA’s awards for “Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe.”
“The Nokia N82 is a compact multimedia computer that integrates GPS, web, video and music functions around a 5 Megapixel camera with a high-speed, f/2.8 autofocus lens. This Carl Zeiss Tessar focuses from 10cm to infinity and produces sharp prints up to and beyond A4 size. Several scene modes are also available to optimize the Nokia N82 for great images, whether shooting portraits or night shots.” - TIP jurors
I’ll be posting about my N82 experience as I go.

I am very interested in your experience with the Nokia N82 and hope you will post more comments. I’ve had two Nokias and after the last one, swore off them. But if the camera is good I might be more interested. It’s aggravating to use the darned phone for a picture - and it’s almost unrecognizable. So looking forward to future updates.
I love nokia. Although its not stylish but has great features. I really want to try N82 and soon i will buy one.
[...] very clear unboxing photos such as the one below (photography is a passion of his), he gives us his initial opinions. He thinks it is one of the ‘hottest’ devices on the market and is impressed by the camera [...]
I believe the future is very much touch screen. Within a couple of years, i believe keypads will be out. Just today, Blackberry launched the Storm which apparently gives some sort of sentation when tap on it to type. It will be interesting to see what this user experience has to offer
Nokia improvement is the unit that already used in my life. It really does not change him for any other
That’s a very nice “side job” you have there! It will benefit you and your readers in the same token, nice.
Seeing the unboxing of a phone is a reasonable thing to notice, but I would say that I’ve seen quite a few unboxings at this time. It would seem that actually purchasing the product for that part of the experience is not as interesting after having gone through the process vicariously through others.
[...] and give the skinny on this phone. Well let me see… It was shiny… but that’s it. The Nokia N82 does not have that “sports car look” that is what majority of the buyers want but what it lacks [...]
