Most successful Filipino Bloggers right now earn more than enough that made them quit their stressful day job. Making money by blogging is easy but you have to learn the basic and be careful on buying online subscriptions that will promise you to make rich overnight

We have seen and heard a lot of bloggers who are making thousands of dollars a month by just updating their blog thrice a week.. Inspiring right?

Successful blogging technique is not a rocket science, it only requires attention and a lot patience. You also need to spend for domain name, web hosting then start to accumulate backlinks to boost your traffic.

If you are planning to create your own blog, Im listing five simple steps on how to make money online.

Step 1: Choose a specific blog niche- Choosing the right niche is easy, just blog about something that you love doing and choose a topic that you are passionate about. If you love to cook and you certainly love to eat, create a pinoy food blog but if you are a travel whore like me, you may just want to create a travel blog where you can share your out of town trips.

Step 2: Chose a simple and neat blog theme- Choosing a blog theme is easy, you can choose your favorite color and design but keep in mind that readers love to check out blogs that has neat and eye catching theme. You can easily download free themes for WordPress and for blogger online.

Step 3: Post educational and entertaining content on your blog- Write about your personal experience and opinion since people follows some blogs because they love the bloggers personality. Share tips and tricks, say you are a backpacker, you may want to share your experience about your most recent expedition.

Try to interact with your readers by responding to their comments, remember that they post comment because they love to join discussions. Encourage your readers to post comments by hosting a contest for the top monthly commenters. Some bloggers are giving away entrecard points and PayPal money.

Step 4: Monetize your blog – There’s a lot of ways for you to start making money through various monetization streams. If you have a food blog, you may start selling food related products by affiliating with Amazon, Chitika and Widgetbucks.com.

Post Google Adsense – you can easily make money whenever someone clicks on those ads (some Filipino bloggers are earning more than a thousand dollars per month)

Sell advertising space – Once your blog already has a substantial traffic, advertiser will start contacting you to buy advertising space on your blog.

Visit other blogs and look for the banner they have and try to check if you can also implement those ads on your blog.

Step 5: Boost your Blog Traffic – Aside from Search engine Marketing, there are other techniques to generate traffic to your blog.

Use Google Adwords to advertise your blog. When people search for certain keywords related to your niche your pay-per-click will show up. You will only pay Google each time someone clicks on your ad.

Submit your blog to blog directories. Search for “blog directories” in Google and you’ll get a list to submit your blog details to.

Propose a link exchange to your blogs top commenters and to your blogger friends.

Add a social bookmarking button on your blog so that your readers can bookmark your links at social bookmarking sites like digg.com, stumblepon.com, propeller.com, and many others.
